Overview This position offers a sign-on bonus opportunity, where Radiation Therapists are eligible for $5,000 for Full-Time positions and a relocation bonus of $5,000. Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and treating radiation therapy patients with ionizing radiation in accordance with written directives from Radiation Oncologists, under the supervision of the Chief Therapist. Key Responsibilities Treat patients with ionizing radiation while adhering to all regulatory guidelines. Monitor equipment parameters, document malfunctions, and understand emergency and safety procedures for linear accelerators and simulators. Maintain accurate medical records and treatment schedules. Input treatment and simulation charge information into Aria. Document patient treatment charts. Understand emergency and fault procedures for linear accelerators and simulators. Recognize and report patient concerns and physical problems to appropriate personnel. Communicate instructions and procedures to patients and their families. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the clinic. Physical Requirements This role requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift and support 35 pounds is necessary for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English, possess intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, finger dexterity, critical thinking, and ability to concentrate. Education, Experience, and Certifications Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Therapeutic Radiology or international equivalent required. ARRT registration or eligibility required, with registry passage within the first 90 days of employment. BLS certification per policy guidelines.
