Radiology Technologist Associate

Job Summary: This position involves performing patient care duties and other professional activities to facilitate treatment. You will work under the supervision of a radiology technologist, assisting in monitoring patient activities and flow in the department. Key Responsibilities: Perform basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist. Assist patients with questions about procedures and prepare them for exams while ensuring their safety. Obtain medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast media materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner or authorized/certified technologist. Support physicians and technologists in diagnostic exams based on assigned modality and career pursuits. Retrieve patient orders and requisitions, supporting administrative tasks in standard applications. Provide ancillary clinical support needs, such as assistance with bedpans and urinals. Contribute to administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Requirements: This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts, including lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting are expected during normal operation. Regular stretching, bending, twisting, squatting, or kneeling may be necessary. Exposure to radiation safety guidelines, MRI safety, and infection control is also required. Education and Experience: A High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in medical imaging is required. Clinical experience related to the pursuit of a medical imaging career is essential, with medical clerical skills preferred.
